We have added/changed some of the audition information, so please review thoroughly if you're interested in auditioning.

The cast is comprised primarily of adults (male & female), but does include roles for three young female performers, ages 9-15, who can play 12 years old. The role of Paula McFadden will be played by Lisa Fox.

"The Goodbye Girl" was originally a five-time Academy Award and five-time Golden Globe nominated romantic comedy. Richard Dreyfuss won the Oscar for Best Actor and the movie won Golden Globes for Best Motion Picture, Best Screenplay (Neil Simon), Best Actor (Richard Dreyfuss) and Best Actress (Marsha Mason). It has the same unique humor that has made Simon the most popular playwright in Broadway history and the stage production features a score by legendary composer MARVIN HAMLISCH.

Ambassador Ensemble Classes are part of the theatre's Community Outreach program. Students accepted into these classes will rehearse once a week and perform throughout the community as opportunities arise.

Ambassador Ensembles include:
Show Stoppers (2nd grade*) Tuesdays, 5:15-6:30pm, Tuition: $65/mo.
Broadway Kids (3rd-5th grades*) Wednesdays, 4:00-5:30pm, Tuition: $65/mo.
Show Troupe (6th-8th grades*) Wednesdays, 4:30-5:45pm, Tuition: $65/mo.
Vocal Performance (a'la Glee) (7th-12th grades*) Wednesdays, 5:45-6:45pm, Tuition: $50/mo.
High School Ensemble (9th-12th grades*) Spring semester only. Auditions for high school ensemble will be held Thurs., Jan. 6, and classes will begin Jan. 13.

To be considered for an ambassador class, students must attend a placement audition. If you were not able to attend the August 8 auditions, please call The Sooner Theatre (321-9600) to schedule an audition. Students may also be admitted by director’s recommendation without an audition.

Audition Guidelines
Prepare to sing 16 bars from a standard Broadway, pop or Disney-style song. An accompanist will be provided. Backtracks will be allowed as long as there are no voices on the track. No a capella auditions will be permitted.

Placement auditions are very relaxed and are held simply so the directors can hear students sing and determine the best Studio class placement for them. An audition does not guarantee placement in an ambassador class, but each student who auditions will be recommended for the Studio class best suited for them.

Auditions must be scheduled in advance by calling 321-9600.

*Age guidelines for all Studio classes are flexible and can be modified by the director only, on a case-by-case basis.
